Our goal is to utilize our racing team to gain awareness to the needs of those born with anorectal malformations or colon disease thru organizations such as the Pull-Thru Network Organization and the 1 in 5000 foundation. Our goal is to increase awareness for those families that are dealing with similar issues and let them know that there is a support network available to them and that they are not alone.
Pull-thru Network (PTN) was founded in 1988 and has grown to be one of the largest organizations in the world dedicated to the needs of those born with an anorectal malformation or colon disease and any of the associated diagnoses. These diagnoses include: Imperforate Anus, Cloaca, Cloacal Exstrophy, Anal Stenosis, Bladder Exstrophy, VACTERL/VATER Association, Hirschsprung's Disease, Tethered Spinal Cord, Neurogenic Bladder, Caudal Regression, Down Syndrome and others.
Despite the differences in diagnoses, the members of Pull-thru Network are bound together by a common need for information, education, support and advocacy for families, children, teen and adults who are facing the challenges of these diagnoses.
The ONE in 5000 Foundation was founded by Greg Ryan and is dedicated to be a worldwide resource for the Imperforate Anus (IA) / Anorectal Malformation (ARM) community. Our vision is to ensure that within the next 5 years, every child born with (IA) / (ARM) around the world is guaranteed the following four outcomes, we call the AIMS program, which focuses on AWARENESS; INFORMATION; MEDICAL; SUPPORT.
